Couple things:
The Thing movie is really a prequel to the John Carpenter movie, The Thing, which was a more faithful version of the story than the original The Thing from the 1950's. And the story for The Thing is actually the novella, Who Goes There, and not a novel. So, really, this new movie is really based on an old movie, and not the story.
I loved they used the European poster for Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. And the poster for Breaking Wind--I mean, Dawn--that's been proven to be a fake.
My daughter is a big Tintin fan, and her uncle sent her all the comics. And Steven Moffat is a god. Don't Blink!
I fear John Carter is going to be a big disappointment, as when you leave off the "of Mars" part, you have to wonder what they're going to give you.
