Cromwell Niche

Jessica regarded the Morrigan and wondered about her bookish nature. This class may be a struggle for her if she doesn't start to feel these spells instead of study them.

"Miss Cromwell. I do hope we can avoid a repeat of our last meeting in this classroom." She smiled and patted her shoulder. "Remember to keep your focus."

Jessica gave her a slight squeeze and walked on.

Lina nodded at what Professor Kishna had said and stared at the slight problem in front of her...a gross, nasty bug. She didn't want to touch such a disgusting thing, such as a snail, but what choice did she have? She would fail if she didn't make the snail disappear, but that requires picking it up and putting it in front of her. "Doshite.." she silently complained.

After a moment of just staring at the bugs in the jar, she shut her eyes tightly and picked up one of the disgusting creatures out of the jars and dropped it in front of her. She had a slight panic attack for dropping the snail, "Ah! Gomene!!" Lina whispered to the snail.

Picking up her wand, Lina did the movement and said, “Evanesco.”

When nothing happened, Lina shook her head to clear her head. What are you doing? she thought, you're supposed to do the spell, not being stupid about this.

Lina's demeanor changed and became more serious. She moved her wand again and exclaimed, “Evanesco!”

Lina stopped what she was doing. She just looked at the bug in front of her and started to think thing differently; more from what Professor Kishna had said the week before, if she didn't start feeling the spells, she would never have it work for her.

She took a deep breath, and let it out slowly. She didn't want to fail this class, but she if things continue as they are, she will. She didn't want to think anymore. Lifting her wand, she flicked her wand again, and said “Evanesco.”

Lina took a deep breath. She attempted to calm herself down as panic started to set in. All she ever wanted was to be an excellent student, but, as things are going, it will seem that she won't be able to do that. She attempted everything, but the bug just wouldn't go away. She tried to clear her mind of her panic, but Lina just couldn't let her panic and will to do the spell correctly.

Taking one final deep breath, she slowly released it as she raised her wand as she breathlessly said, "Evanesco."

When the snail final disappeared, relief fell across Lina's face. She did feel something within her when she finally got the snail to disappear, but she couldn't place it on what it was. She wanted to keep a note of what she had felt, but when she went to go grab a notebook out of her bag, she noticed that her bag wasn't there, as well as her books and quill that she had on the table. Ah! What happened to them? Lina was about to go looking for them, but decided against it and went to finish her assignment.

She took one of the mice from the cage and placed it in front of her. She did the same ritual she did with her last attempt, but this time, she didn't have have a panic about failing, but focused on that that feeling was before. "Evanesco."
